Denim wash or acid wash is a very popular manicure these days. I've been spotting this manicure everywhere! Today I'm going to show you step by step how you can create this manicure. Let's go!
What you need:
- Basecoat
- Two colored polishes
- Topcoat
- Nail polish remover
- Q tips
Step 1: Apply your basecoat and when it's dry your first colored polish. If you want a denim wash I suggest using a light blue polish.
Step 2; Apply another colored polish on top of the first colored polish you applied. Let this dry. If you want the denim wash you now need to apply a dark blue polish.
Step 3; Take a q-tip and dip it into your nail polish remover. Don't tap the q-tip. The q-tip really has to be soaked in nail polish remover. Now, roll the q-tip over your nails. From your cuticle to the tip of your nails. Be careful, you don't want to remove all polish but just a little bit of the color you put on top.
Step 4; Let dry and add a topcoat. That's it for your denim or acid wash!
I also tried the acid wash with yellow as a base color and pink on top. I kinda like this look more than the denim wash manicure. What do you think of this manicure? Have you ever tried it yourself? Would you ever try it?
