Fimo Canes

Today I'm going to talk about fimo canes. Some of you might know what fimo canes are and what they are meant to use for. But some of you don't know what fimo canes are/is and what they are used for. For those; let me tell you something about fimo canes!

Fimo is a polymer clay that is very soft and easy to shape. I used to make puppets out of fimo clay when I was a little girl.

But we're not talking about fimo. We're talking about fimo canes, made out of fimo clay, are sticks from 4,5 to 5 centimeter(1.8 to 2 inches). You can use the sticks for different purposes. In this case fimo canes are used by people(me!) who love nail art.
The "trend" of fimo canes started in nail salon. In nail salons they used fimo canes on different arcrylic nails to give them a nice finished look. Nowadays fimo canes are not only used in nail salons but also by people who love doing nail art.

So how do people use fimo canes? Well, with a tiny knife you slice up some pieces of fimo. After you have little slices of fimo you can glue the slices onto your nails. It will give your nails a cute and creative effect. And with a little bit of good topcoat the fimo will stay onto your nails for days.

On the pictures you see all my fimo I own. I bought them all at once on Ebay. I paid 8 American Dollars for 100 fimo canes(I got 103), shipping was free. Ebay is the cheapest way to get fimo canes.

And on the last picture; a brown bear and two little cupcakes I made out of fimo clay. I still have everything I ever made out of fimo, but these were the two things I wanted to show you all!
