NOTD: Holo on Crack

Today just a quick nail of the day. (Nail of the days are always quick.)

A classmate of mine had a manicure of a plain silver polish with a black crackle on top. It looked nice to me, but not as nice as I could be. So I came up to do this NOTD. I used Holographic by Gosh as the base color and on top the black crackle polish from BeYu. I really like the effect of the holo through the crackles of the nailpolish. This is definitely a manicure I'm going to wear more often!

A couple weeks ago I wrote an article about a new trend; crackle nail polishes. China Glaze just came out with their own crackle collection and right when I heard about those polishes I ordered a few colors. After a few weeks I finally rechieved the polishes.

I just found out I'm really bad at doing pop art on my own nails. So instead of doing my own nails I'd rather look on the internet for some pictures that inspire me to practise some nail art. I wanted to share some photos of pop art nails that I really like and which inspire me.

Bee and Robin Hood Nails for Carnival

The reason I did not post any article the last few days is because here in the south of the Netherlands we are celebrating carnival. (Carnival, not the familiar carnival as Carnival de Rio de Janeiro but it do has the same religic reasons.) When it is carnival you dress up as you like and party five days long. The first two days I went as a bee and the other days I went as the female Robin Hood. But I wanted to have matching nails that are quickly done. The nails I wore is what I'm going to show you today.

Short nails!

One thing I hate is when my nails are short. And guess what?! They're short!
I always have had long nails and now it feels like I have a disability, I can't even text anymore. I know it's not the end of the world but to me it almost is.
But I thought this was a good moment to show my bare short nails.
