Nails In Videos

Nails In Videos. Pfoeh! Haven't done an edition of this in more than one year. Biggest reason for that might be that my favorites artists didn't made a video in the last year. Reason I wanted to do one right now is because of the newest video from Miley Cyrus. Oh my gawsh, her nails looked amazing! Unfortunately no fancy high end nail art this time, but great artist with plain and beautiful nails. 

NOTD: Golden Accent

Haha. This is bad, this is really bad. My last NOTD is from one year ago. Shame on me. I do my nails all the time. Just haven't thought about doing a nail of the day in quit some time till I made an account on Instagram where I post some NOTD quit often. Anyways, here's my manicure today!

OPI 'Stay The Night'

Three weeks ago I showed you Jinx, a liquid sand polish from OPI. Well, I've got another liquid sand polish. One of the most popular ones from the Mariah Carey collection. This one was sold out in just a couple day! Am I glad I had the change to get me a bottle of this polish!

Textured polishes are a big hit. We have flocking nails, caviar nails, feather polish and texture nail polish, OPI calls their texture polish Liquid Sand. I think we have a new favorite for the next couple months!

Nail Soakers to Remove Polish

Last week you could see these nail soakers in my Ebay haul. I always wanted to try these nail soakers. I've seen them before in videos and blog posts and people say it's the best method/product to use to remove glitter nail polish. I don't believe it till I see it, so I've tried them, here's my review: 

Day #21 Inspired by a Color

You're probably thinking "Wtf is this". This day is day number 21 of the 31 Day Nail Challenge, where I have to make a manicure which is inspired by a color.. and I show up with black nails and rainbow glitters. I'm just very stubborn. If you say yes, I say no. I wanted to pick out one color, but I just couldn't decide and  actually wanted black sparkly nails. 

Essence Twilight Breaking Dawn Part II LE Polishes

Tomorrow is the day. The day that the last part of the Twilight saga goes in premiere, Breaking Dawn part II. Can I scream? Ahhh!!!.. I am so freaking excited! I cannot wait to see this movie and I think I'm about to cry when the movie ends. Thanks to Essence, we can enjoy the movies even more when wearing all the products of their limited edition Breaking Dawn part II collection... especially their nail polishes!

Tutorial: Galaxy Nails

I actually wanted to do a galaxy nail tutorial for a while. When I started the 31 Nail Challenge I thought I could just wait till day 19. The day where I have to wear galaxy nails(which I just posted last week) and make a tutorial! Easy said than done. But, as promised to myself, a galaxy tutorial!

Yay! I've been waiting for this day since I started with the 31 Day Nail Challenge! I love seeing the galaxy print on leggings, t-shirts and other clothing. Now, I could finally create the galaxy print on my own nails! 

FOTM: China Glaze 'Electrify'

The polishes from the China Glaze Hunger Games collection are available since a while and when the collection just came out I didn't really had the needs to purchase a polish from that collection. Not too long ago I was browsing around the web looking for swatches from the HG collection. O, my gosh! I needed to have Electrify and I purchased the polish right away. 

Remove Glitter Polish w/ the Foil Method

The foil method. Never thought I'd be doing this article because I swear by using an artificial nail remover for removing glitter polish. Now, I've had some issues using the artificial remover too much. It's not conducive for your cuticles, plus it doesn't always remove all glitters when you have more than 4 layers of glitter polish on your nails. Than I tried the foil method, again, with a surprising result: it really does remover glitter!

Nicole by OPI 'Follow Me On Glitter'

My second polish by Nicole by OPI is Follow Me On Glitter, one of the Kardashian Kolors. Wasn't actually  the polish I wanted from the Kardashians collection, the one I wanted to have was sold out. Ah well, this one is pretty too, just look at the swatch images I made.

Finally, day 17! The day I've been waiting for so long. I love, love, love wearing glitter polish. This time I polished my nails with my ultimate favorite glitter polish ever!

Quick Tip: Remove Glitter Polish in Secondes!

I love wearing glitter polishes. I own them in many, many colors and I can watch and stare at glitters, like a little child, for hours. The only downfall of wearing glitter polish is removing the glitters at the end. Rubbing the glitter off with just remover and cotton pads or balls isn't an option. The cotton will stick behind the glitters and then it gets more messier.

Now I have got the ultimate solution to remove those glitters!

Sometimes I'm polishing my nails with a plain old looking color, which could use a special effect on top. Essence came with Special Effect topcoats. Topcoats not just to seal your nail polish or give it that extra protection, no, topcoats to give that plain polish look special. Glitter, holographic, sheens and even flakes.

Diamond Cosmetics Glow In The Dark Collection

I've been obsessed by glow in the dark ever since I was a little girl. Once I even made my own glow in the dark polish by mixing glow in the dark glue and some clear polish from my mom to get my own GITD polish. And o, how did I loved my homemade polish. I wore it everywhere and showed it to everybody around.

Nowadays you don't have to be as creative because you can purchase your own glow in the dark nail polish. Diamond Cosmetics even has their own collection with four glow in the dark polishes... today some swatched and a review on the polishes.

Do you ever walk by a place and see a product lying there, available for very little? Well, that's how I got these Barbie polishes. Although these polishes are for kids, I was kinda curcious about the polishes itself, plus it's Barbie!

FOTM: OPI My Private Jet

I know, it's been such a long time since I posted a favorite of the month. I just didn't had any favorite polish I had been wearing longer than just one.

Now I do, and I love this polish. It's My Private Jet from OPI. I searched the internet for this polish, and the one I have is the newer version of My Private Jet. The original one used to be a holographic nailpolish and was part of the Night Bright collection. Mine is anything but holographic.

Trend Winter 2011/2012: Glitter Mania!

Shine, glare, sheen, shimmer, sparkle, glisten. All kinds of words that have something to do with a new trend that is going on right now: Glitter!
